This summer

I was going to do a few posts to catch you up on the summer events but I've just decided that it might take too long.  I thought I would just do a "little" recap in pictures.

Mumford Stopover

We had a great weekend at the Mumford and Sons stopover in Guthrie.  It was a blast but was way too hot!  Jeff camped at the concert campgrounds on Friday and Saturday night with some friends, but this wife did not.  I opted to drive home both nights and stay in the comfort of my own bed and air conditioning.  Let me tell you, it was a good decision!  Something has to be done about this heat!  Seriously, is it Fall yet?  I couldn't be more ready!

Wow, it's been awhile!

So I took a little break from updating this bloggy blog.  There really was no reason.  Once summer arrived I just kind of stopped and I realize now that I have a lot of catching up to do!  School has started back up and I will hopefully post some pictures of my little 4th grade room soon! 

We had a great summer!  I can't believe that it is over (well for this teacher it is).

Wake up and smell the roses

Welcome Spring- glad you could make it!

I wish there was a way to smell images through your computer because then you could all smell what I smelled today in my front yard.  Our roses are in bloom and they may be prettier than they've ever been.  And they smell gorgeous too!

Soccer Game

This weekend I attended a shower for a friend getting married soon.  We have had so many showers recently and it's been so great to have friends in town that I never get to see!

On Saturday we also headed to Tulsa to watch our nephew Caleb play soccer.  It was adorable and Caleb scored his first goal while we were there!  Way to go Caleb.  He's so cute.

Paris and Nelly

The Vestrings enjoyed some fun this past weekend.

On Saturday night we went to a Nelly concert (yes, you read right)  NELLY. and it. was. awesome!  We had the best time.  We definitely got to stompin' in our air force ones < (See what I did there?)
It was a blast.

On Sunday, my friends and I threw a shower for a friend who was getting married this August.  We went with a Paris themed shower as our friend studied abroad in Paris one semester.  I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say it might have been our best shower yet (and let me tell you- we are pretty much pros as far as showers go these days).  It turned out so cute!

I know I'm a little late in my post, and really I have no excuse.  We celebrated at Jeff's family's lake house, and enjoyed a few beautiful spring days.  Our nephews enjoyed a couple of Easter egg hunts and we enjoyed relaxing in the hammock.

We are now experiencing some much needed rain here in Oklahoma and while I know we need it- I sure miss that wonderful spring weather we had this past weekend.  Oh well, April showers bring May flowers right?  Now, I just need to plant some so all this rain can be of some use to me!

Spring Break

We are at the end of our wonderful spring break week.  I'm sad to see it go.  The first 3 days of break I was sick, so I tried to get the most out of the end of the week.  I organized my pantry, closet and intended to organize our hall closet, however that has yet to happen.  Oh well,  ya can't do it all you know?  On Thursday my mom and I took a quick trip to Dallas and back to do a little shopping, and Saturday night we celebrated my fabulous grandmother's 80th birthday.

Happy Palm Sunday ya'll!  I hope it warms up a bit in the next few days.  I'm ready to spring into Spring now... please and thank you!
